The Retreat was open to women of all ages, backgrounds, and life stages.

It started on Saturday, June 8th at 10:00 am and concluded, Sunday, June 9th at 10 am.

The Retreat was hosted at the Travers Cattle Company Ranch, 911 Steinke Rd. Mart, Texas 76664. Cost was $300 for full retreat with lodging, or $150 for Saturday only

Registration included accommodations, meals, activities, presenters and freebies.

We enjoyed featured guest speakers, education, activities, shared meals, community, and free time to rest and fellowship!

Dr. Julie Merriman, LPC-S

Dr. Julie Merriman Wellness, LLC and Dragonfly Therapy Services and Institute. Dr. Merriman specializes in wellness for the body, mind and soul and just wrote a book on preventing burnout set to release this fall! She is a Wellness Coach, Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Yoga Instructor.

Dr. Jill Boman, FNTP

Dr. Jill Boman, FNTP with Roots Waco. Dr. Jill is a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Autoimmune Paleo Certified Coach and Functional Supplement Specialist. She is a specialist in nourishing diets based on real, whole foods, digestion and gut health and blood sugar balance.

Melissa McClure, LCSW

Melissa McClure, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker, a mental health therapist and a Young Living Brand Partner. Her passion is helping people navigate their wellness journey with clean, nontoxic lifestyle products, nutritional supplements, pure therapeutic grade essential oils and implementing foundational health habits. She offers Zyto Scans as a wellness tool to identify emotional, environmental and internal stressors and suggests products and services to support those areas back into balance.

Kalyn Scofield

Kalyn Scofield owns Blooming Hope Collective where she is a licensed esthetician focused on clean, herbal based, therapeutic grade products for not just your skin, but your home too. Her space is a gathering place rooted in holistic esthetics, wellness services, clean products, and thoughtfully curated gifts. Kalyn also specializes in essential oils and Wellness Parties with DIY products.

Heather Travers, LPC-S

a licensed professional counselor supervisor and program director bringing a wealth of expertise to her role as the retreat host. Specializing in personal and professional development, as well as positive psychology, Heather's focus on holistic health and workplace well-being is a testament to her commitment to fostering a balanced and thriving environment. Her unique combination of skills and interests equips her to provide valuable insights and guidance in supporting individuals and organizations towards holistic growth and success.

Susan Krause, CPRP

With over 25 years' experience, she is a National Recreation and Parks Association Certified Parks and Recreation Professional, a Cooper Aerobics Institute Certified Fitness Specialist and is certified to teach Pilates, Tai Chi Quan Moving for Better Balance, Les Mills Sprint, Barre and numerous other fitness formats.

Susan earned her master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas and enjoys working as a trainer and facilitator, a grant writer, manager, and program coordinator. Susan currently serves as the Manager for Programs and Facilities for the City of Waco Parks and Recreation Department, along with numerous community organizations with a goal of helping provide equitable opportunities in education, health and wellness, and access to childcare and nutrition.
